Story Doctoring, Re-authoring, Creative Rites
As a writer, photographer, speaker and producer I have told stories and communicated ideas for many years in words, visuals, moving images, and speaking. Whether a story, a film, a talk, they all can take us on a journey of transformation and revelation, and as such, the creative process behind the making off your work, is a rite of passage in its own right.
I will introduce you to the (relationship between) the core elements of story structure, techniques, hone in on the core conflict, point of view, characters etc. With my extensive experience with the nuts and bolts of the creative process (and procrastination), I can help you with story clarity, dramatic effect, emotional truth and tapping into your own creative unconscious and intuition. I support you with your natural voice, get solid in your own creative process and rhythm, and how you can allow the work to work (in) you and reveal itself.
We can unravel creative knots, discover the red thread of your project or purpose, discover the right point of view and thematic thread throughout, with an eye to useful metaphors and the transformational arch. I believe any creative project has an inherent logic or intelligens within, that determined its 'perfect' form. We go searching for this precious alignment, inside and out.
I know, the creative process calls on all you've got, intellectually, psychologically, spiritually, practically, but I also know, it has tremendous power to heal, transform and empower you and your community.
This is how we work together.
Intense deep-dives is my special competence and it's a joy for me to offer my presence and skills. You get all of me, and more. Whether you are at the beginning of a project or struggling with the completion, I'm will step in, as your liaison, muse and support, and create a safe container for magic to happen.
I also come with practical project experience and tools from a variety of areas such as organisational and community development, education and entrepreneurship, film, digital storytelling, photography, book writing and production, PR and personal leadership coaching.
Should you need it, I also offer hands-on project consulting and content creation.
Depending on your project or situation, there's different ways we can work:
Hourly basis, 3 hour intensives, 3 day deep-dive retreat, or 3 months committed program.
The work will be a mix of life-philosophical conversations, story tools talks, reading your stuff, feedback, exercises, teaching, brainstorming, mapping, movement, to tap into inner viewing and writing from the body. I ask for your full dedication, courage to be seen and heard, and willingness to follow through. Only serious inquires please.
Based upon your needs, dreams and goals, I customize your session / program accordingly.
For in-person work, this a beautiful reason to plan a retreat with me, either in Europe or the U.S. Otherwise phone, skype and email works just fine.
